Pledgr · Project brief
Research within a lean product team
I embedded lightweight usability research in Pledgr’s sprint work so rapid development stayed connected to user feedback.
The starting point
The startup needed to iterate quickly while keeping decisions aligned with what users needed from the pledge experience.
My responsibility
I introduced usability checkpoints, facilitated co-design and rapid feedback, and brought user evidence into prioritization.

Keeping research close to sprint decisions
I focused usability checkpoints on the questions the team was working through during development. This made research part of the ongoing decision process rather than a separate activity at the end.
Reviewing and refining with the team
Co-design and rapid feedback sessions gave the team a way to review ideas against user needs and available evidence. I used those findings and metrics to guide priorities as the product evolved.
Outcome
A repeatable research practice within development
Research became part of the sprint process, supporting faster iteration and continued user alignment. The improvements recorded for this practice were qualitative.
